The Ostermalm district of central Stockholm is home to the first Kavat street-level store. The company, established in 1945, 200km west of Stockholm in the town of Kumla, has always set a high standard for quality. They supply the Swedish Ski Team with shoes made from with Tärnsjö Incorporated’s plant-tanned leather. In 2008, Kavat received the EU Eco Label and since then has developed a strong position in the market as a company environmentally-focused company, especially with younger audiences. This eco-friendly theme is visible even in the store’s interior design with shelves and furniture made from natural materials.
