Discover the Creative Universe of Wewill Ginza and Its Line of ‘Quietly Attractive Clothing’
The first flagship store of the fashion brand Wewill has opened in Ginza 1 Chome, Tokyo. Wewill, a brand launched during the autumn-winter season in 2017, was previously available only in Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, and Aomori, limited to one select shop per prefecture. Based on the concept of ‘quietly attractive clothing’, the designs offer comfortable garments realized in high-quality textiles and workmanship.
Here, for example, you can find a racing jacket made from lustrous leather of the kind normally used for ladies’ shoes. The silhouettes and fastening arrangements follow the usual style for menswear, but the overall impression is unexpectedly gentle. Perennial plain t-shirts are available in finely woven textures, with loosely fitted trunks and sleeves. Given the current season’s tendency towards monotones, these naturally glossy and ballooning, flowing silhouettes radiate a fresh sense of presence. Although the design is not ostentatious, the materials and silhouettes create a slight incongruity, making the fashion line entirely unique.
Next time you feel a need to try out some fresh fashions, why not take advantage of the relaxed space of Wewill Ginza, tucked into a remarkably calm corner of the otherwise busy heart of Tokyo?
