Laundry Awash with Culture from Germany

Retro 1960s wallpaper, chandeliers, and laundry. FREDDY LECK WASCHSALON has an atmosphere all its own. Enjoy a café with wifi and books while you wait for your laundry. “The first FREDDY LECK WASCHSALON that opened in Germany appeared in Pen magazine, and I was shocked that this concept existed. It’s a hip laundromat designed with a café to change what one thinks of laundromats,” says producer Tomoki Matsunobu. He continues, “The moment I heard about it I knew I had to get involved, so I signed a contract and opened my own.” Between 9am and 9pm staff are on duty to offer pointers on shortening washing times as well as other tips and tricks. They even provide laundry services that include folding for the busiest of the busy out there.
