Good sounds. Good booze. Warm roasted coffee.

“Shops targeting hardcore music-lovers can be a little threatening, so I wanted to create an open space that allows people to relax and listen to music,” says Oryo Itazaki, the owner of Kabuto Piano. The chic Scandinavian-style interior of Kabuto Piano bathes visitors in warm light and dulcet tones, creating an open space with a home-like feeling. The startling sensation of immersing oneself in sound makes one appreciate the hardware: Audiophiles will recognize the two ATC speakers through which customers can enjoy their preferred music, ranging from classical and jazz to pop. The warm music of Kabuto Piano offers sanctuary from quotidian concerns whether one is engaged in a candid conversation with the owner or nestled in a chair sipping coffee.
