Spearheading Arita-yaki.

Spearheading Arita-yaki.

Delicate hand-painted designs on white porcelain. Arita-ware is currently undergoing a revolution. By using photographs and graphics to develop transcription technology, Arita-ware has become even more creative. To spread the charm of Arita-ware to more people and evangelize the new technology, a trading company from its production area opened a store in Tokyo. Dishes and cups adorned with traditional Japanese patterns such as Mt. Fuji and ears of rice boast a rough texture, and many of the pieces come from in-house designers. However, KIHARA TOKYO also carries limited products such as noodle cups designed by creative director, Kashiwa Sato. Prices range between 2,000JPY and 4,000JPY, and a new era of Arita-ware is just kicking off.
