A real virtual gallery, this Instagram account catalogues numerous buildings in Japan that are often unintentionally artistic. @ka_nai, the (anonymous) curator of the page, showcases various facades. Some are outdated, others have been redone, but all are fascinating due to their intriguing use of symmetry.
Sometimes colourful and other times dilapidated, the facades are all captured from an unusual perspective as the photographer focuses on only one part or detail of the building. Although none of the photographs are alike, they exude a certain sense of harmony. Both delicate and poetic, this Instagram account offers an image of Japan in varied colours, but always dazzling.
