Good Goods Issey Miyake, Now in Daikanyama, is Chock-full of Accessories for Design Maniacs

A new shop handling an amazing variety of Issey Miyake branded bagsand accessories, such as Me Issey Miyake and 132 5. Issey Miyake, has opened next to Homme Plissé Issey Miyake in the Daikanyama neighborhood of Tokyo. The weirdly tilting building opens up into a futuristic space delineated by diagonal slits, with fashions on display that radiate the creative spirit of this brand.
The tempting line-up for those who have a taste for the Issey Miyake brand includes the ever-popular Bao Bao Issey Miyake tote bag, as well as the Solid Bag, which is made by shrinking a bag knit from delicate yarn to one-fourth its original size and then dying it, and the Stripe Trunk Pleats Bag, featuring patterns of diagonal stripes transfer-printed onto linear pleats. For those who want a distinct change in their style, without investing in a whole new line of clothing, it makes sense to add one or two ingeniously designed accessories, sporting linear patterns and special production techniques. If you find yourself getting bored with your current tote bag or backpack—well, why not come here? Wouldn’t it be fun to find something that fits your moods? That sets you apart?
