9H is a chain of capsule hotels that’s well known across Japan, with rooms that resemble minimalistic cabins with only a bed and a small space to store luggage. It has establishments in Kyoto, Sendai, and Narita, often in practical locations near to train stations or airports.

In July 2017, the group opened Woman Kanda in the heart of Tokyo, a hotel reserved exclusively for women. It’s a way for them to feel safer and more secure, the hotel explains, especially in communal areas such as shower rooms. The décor is no different from that of other 9H establishments; however, the capsules are more spacious.

More information on the 9H hotel chain can be found on its website.
