Fusion Cuisine at Takaramono, Paris

One is a young chef who started out in Japan. The other is a DJ. Together, Alexandre Arnal and Jonathan Ouanounou form the duo Trésor Food. They began by cooking for private fashion events and for pop-up events at weekends, and very quickly became a success with those who love posting photos of their meals on Instagram and eating avocado toasts. The two friends seized their opportunity and opened their first restaurant, which they named ‘Takaramono’ (Japanese for ‘my treasure’), located at the address where the bar Petite Amour was formerly located (and where we met André Saraiva once).
To set the rhythm for this new bistro-cafeteria with its strong pop vibe with formica, a record player and a decidedly 60s ambiance, the team splits the place into three according to the time of day. For the most important meal of the day, you can grab a street food-style bun made with well-sourced products like veal or pastrami.
In the afternoon, Takaramono turns into a coffee shop where you can drink a delicious coffee. And for the beloved ‘apéro’, there’s Japanese-Camargue tapas: wasabi eggs, green beans with sesame cream, fried chicken with beetroot ketchup and red chicory… It’s one of the favourite spot with the capital’s hip population.
