MUJI, a chain of Japanese stores specialising in interior design, decoration and fashion, has opened its first hotels in China and Japan. MUJI Hotel offers a relaxing lifestyle based on two principles: minimalism and quality.
By creating an environment in neutral tones that seems subtly familiar, the company aims to make travellers feel calm. Simplicity reigns in the hotel rooms. The walls and floors are lined with light-coloured wood and all the items come from MUJI stores, from the toothbrushes to the built-in CD player, the latter being the work of designer Naoto Fukasawa. With timeless clean lines and a modern vision, MUJI is pursuing its zen adventure.
More information about MUJI Hotel can be found on the brand’s website.
